Ramadan Preps
20 April 2020We have briefly compiled what kind of preparations we should make before Ramadan whilst more abundant and productive days await us with iftar and sahoor.
When the adhan is recited, the meal starts with dates, olives or water and is usually followed by a bowl of soup to facilitate digestion. In some regions, Tutmaç Soup, which means “will hold it”, is cooked at the first iftar, and noodles is cooked at sahoor.
Especially in order to be practical in sahoor, you can set up your tables faster with alternatives such as ragweed or rolled pastry, which you can prepare in advance and put in the refrigerator. In addition, by boiling legumes beforehand; You can make blarney or add it to salads.
It is important to do a well-planned shopping in order to avoid wasting food at your tables during Ramadan, the symbol of abundance. Considering that it will be difficult to do shopping while fasting, you can purchase products with a long shelf life and especially difficult to transport such as legumes and oil in advance.
We hope that the month of Ramadan, when all hearts have already turned to our Lord, will be a means of goodness for the whole Islamic world, and we hope you have a prosperous month in health and peace.
