Homemade Bread Recipe
26 March 2020
During this difficult pandemic, many of us are in search of ways to enjoy ourselves and make use of our time. Our team at Ipekevi is in the process of preparing enjoyable content for you to enjoy at home and Ipekevi.com. In our first topic, we share with you a recipe of how to make your own homemade bread!
Let's get started!
Ingredients:
1. Half a pack of yeast or 1 tablespoon of instant yeast
2. 1.5 cups of warm water
3. 4 cups of flour (You can use just white flour, just brown flour, or any other flour you'd prefer!)
4. 1 tablespoon of oil
5. 1 teaspoon of salt
6. 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar
Preparation:
Add warm water, yeast and granulated sugar into a deep bowl and mix thoroughly. After waiting for five minutes for your dough to ferment, start kneading by adding salt, oil and a little flour. After resting your dough, cover it with a damp cloth or stretch film and leave it to ferment for 1 hour. After 1 hour is up, shape your dough into the shape of a loaf, place baking paper on a tray and lay out your dough. Bake your bread in a preheated 200 degree oven for about 30-40 minutes. Don't forget to slice your bread after taking it out of the oven and resting it at room temperature!
Afiyet olsun! (Bon appetite in Turkish)
With love,
